Carrying your baby strapped to your body – also called “babywearing” - in a baby carrier, wrap or sling provides warmth & closeness and is generally calming for infants. Babywearing also allows a caregiver to safely transport a child while still having both hands free. Once a baby is about six months old and has good neck control, you can use a forward-facing carrier to give them a bird’s eye view of the world.
