With so many gizmos and gadgets for parents to choose from, the world of baby gear might seem overwhelming. For example, when it comes to choosing a diaper bag, you should think first about who’s going to use it. Guys, this is a good time to remember that old expression, “happy wife, happy life.” In other words, you might want to leave the diaper bag decision to her if she’s the one who will be carrying it. But ladies, if you want your man to share in the babycare duties, it’s a good idea to pick out a unisex bag that either one of you can carry. Luckily, we have diaper bags in lots of styles and sizes – from designer satchels and pastel-colored feminine totes, to dad-bag designs and diaper backpacks in the neutral colors that men like.
Many of our diaper bags have straps to allow them to easily attach to the handle of your stroller. But you can also purchase stroller hooks, which enable you to attach any bag, including a shopping bag or handbag. For diaper changes on the go, you may only need a diaper tote or changing clutch with just enough space for nappies, a wipes case and a portable changing pad.
Carrying your baby strapped to your body – also called “babywearing” - in a baby carrier, wrap or sling provides warmth & closeness and is generally calming for infants. Babywearing also allows a caregiver to safely transport a child while still having both hands free. Once a baby is about six months old and has good neck control, you can use a forward-facing carrier to give them a bird’s eye view of the world.
