This banjo is adorable! The banjo comes in a box but was mailed in a bag unfortunately, and the box got smashed up but luckily the banjo appears intact, it will just be hard to wrap. I would suggest mailing inside of a box to better protect the product. Other than that, it will be perfect for my 3 yr old granddaughter! This has cute “bird” tuners, real strings and even comes with extra strings! She loves my banjo and this is a lot more realistic than the electronic push button toy instruments out there. It is hard to find a toy banjo so I am very pleased with this one!
